Things I am thankful for as a Mommy...

Infants Advil
Long naps
Empty laundry hampers
A clean kitchen and bathroom and clean floors, preferably ones I did not have to clean myself

and Greyson's giggles.

When he has giggles and full on belly laughs, it makes me happy, so very happy because I know he is feeling more like himself. ❤️

First post dedicated to Salsa

Ok, so here it goes.

First post on my Mommy blog that a good friend of mine said I should create. I'm not really sure who all will read these posts on my blog, but honestly I can't say I care. I'm going to do this for me and anyone else who might feel fed up with the endless drama that follows Facebook and other social media platforms.

I guess I should say a bit about myself...

I'm a Momma to a great little boy name Greyson (hence Mommy Blog 101) he really is so amazing. He's the best thing I have ever been a part of while being on this earth for the last 37 years. He turned 1 on 9-8-14 and I am still in denial that he is a 1 year old. I think I might refer to his age in months until... Forever. "This is my son, Greyson and he is 128 months old."

I'm a wife to a great guy. He really is the bee's knees. Something you should know about me is that I am a Mormon, a Latter-Day Saint and my husband is not. Shocking, I know! (Sarcasm)

He was born and raised in the catholic faith, but doesn't practice at this time. He can if he wanted to and I would totally support him, but instead he goes with me... every Sunday with our little one in toe and helps me with him. He makes sure our little guy has his snacks, is held and taken care of while I serve in my calling in our Ward's Primary. I'm currently the secretary in the Primary Presidency and that can be busy and sometimes overwhelming... But it's all good as long as you rely on The Lord and take it one day, one item at a time. (But I digress.. Where was I going? Oh Yess..) but he goes with me every Sunday and I always offer him the option of staying home and he never takes me up on it. He is a total support to me and the calling I have.

If you know anything about the Mormon church (and if you don't, please free to use this link www.lds.org for any questions you might have or you can ask me and I will answer the best I can!) our Sundays can be kind of long for anyone who isn't used to it. It is 3 hours and its broken up into three different segments. 1 hour is sacrament meeting where some might call it where you partake of the Eucharist, but as Latter-day Saints we refer to it as Sacrament. Where the bread and water is blessed and we partake of it renewing our baptismal covenant that we made at baptism. Another hour is broken down into Sunday school lessons where we study the scriptures. This includes the Book of Mormon and the Bible (King James Version) and other books that are a part of the standard works that we learn and study from. Then the 3rd hour would be set aside for where the men go to their Priesthood classes and the women go to the women's class called Relief Society. Which by the way is the largest woman's organization in the entire world! A little trivia for youPretty cool, I think.

So that can be a LOT to take in for a non member, right? But my husband goes every Sunday with me anyhow. My family lovingly calls him Saint Abe, but it's the truth. He is! The three hours may fly by for me because I am busy with my calling, but I can imagine some Sundays it must feel like The Never Ending Story for my sweetie, but he never complains.

I got a good apple. A golden apple.

My cup runneth over for both of my boys and my husband is truly amazing and I am so blessed to have him in my life.

I think this is a good place to end my first posting. My apologies for any grammatical errors. I'm not the best at writing neatly, so to speak.

So no comments! Haha! Because Judgey Wudgey was a bear!

Until next time...

Be kind to anyone you meet, you never know what struggles they might be going through and always say, "Please." and "Thank You." It's just nice! :)
